Overall, we didn't get the goaltending and the defensive lapses in the first were killers. That said, we were in this game and had some good pushback. Carolina is a cup contender and we know we aren't. I'd prefer a different outcome but I think we're closer then this score will show. Break time will be good.

I was pretty impressed with our response after the first period. I’m happy with it.

Rough start, but certainly battled hard through the 2nd and 3rd but we’re always in the process of being suffocated by Carolina’s sticks and subtle holdings.

 

Tuch shows us what a playoff player looks like; he was flying out there.

Quinn looked good

Dahlin and many other seemed to have issues with stick handling for unknown reasons.

We came out slow and sloppy…   UPL kept us in the game… Didn’t show up until the 2nd period… Tried to rally… Plenty of shots and good chances… UPL and our defense let us down in the 3rd… Carolina is playing great hockey

Not the outcome I hoped for, but at least the boys fought. We didn’t seem to have much puck luck tonight and were killed by some brutal defensive lapses early. Rest and heal over the break and come out swinging next week.
