I agree with you that this may be the best this team has played in a period. We dominated a good team with an elite goalie. Our speed and tenacity dominated a quality opponent in the second period.

The Tage goal was exquisite with two exceptional passes from Tuch and Skinner. As good as Tuch's was I thought Skinner's saucer pass to him was exceptional.

More meaningful than when we destroyed Columbus.  Winnipeg is a good team.

The Winnipeg intermission team beat reporter said the Thompson goal looked like an arcade game style goal...

Said the Sabres can attack in waves with layers and how impressive it is to watch seemingly harmless plays turn into odd man rushes for them(like the Peterka-Quinn 2 on 1)

All the trade talk...I dunno. I see a team that simply needs experience playing a heavy, contender-level game. They can hang. It's going to take a delicate touch to make the correct upgrades to this roster.

I agree. But if Timo Meier can be had, that's the kind of delicate touch I'm looking for.

These are the kind of goals the opposing team always scored, or so it seemed to me for a long, long time.  Reminds me of comments from DG in the fall about how they've been focusing on offense as it's much more difficult to learn than D.  Hopefully, they are now turning the focus toward D as the playoffs beckon.

This is the best period of Sabres hockey I’ve ever seen in person

Considering it was likely the best period of hockey they've played all season, not that surprising.  They played at a high level at both ends & in transition too.  Boxing people out in front of Comrie.  4 & even 5 man cycles in the offensive zone.  Dahlin literally EVERYWHERE.  Fun period.

Hoping the 3rd is as good.

For those saying Lyubushkin is slow, rewatch his keep in of the puck while the Krebs line was out there.  He's finally healthy.

He hit the ####### post.

Skinner that is, not Boosh.  (Durn automerge)

Comrie gets the defensively responsible Sabres.

The Jets' broadcast crew are struggling to accept what is happening to their team.
