gregkash Posted May 6, 2006 Report Posted May 6, 2006 Mainly Chara and Redden. Despite the mistakes they made tonight, they are really good and they play physical without playing dirty and as far as I am concerned that really earns my respect. We've seen what a dirty physical player with no skill (Hatcher) does.. it's nice to know that this series is gonna be won by hard work and not by teams taking nosedives and cheapshots.
nfreeman Posted May 6, 2006 Report Posted May 6, 2006 It does seem weird to be complementing their D after we score SEVEN goals, but I agree with you. Our PP was completely unable to get anything going tonight and I think that is almost entirely due to great PK in the corners, mostly by their D. This btw is something we are going to need to make an adjustment on. I don't think we are going to be able to dump-and-chase on the PP. Their D is just too mobile -- ie it's too easy for them to get to the puck and clear it. Not sure what the answer is but we clearly had major problems tonight on the PP.

Lindy and scott arniel will have saturday, sunday and monday morning to make adjustments.
gregkash Posted May 6, 2006 Author Report Posted May 6, 2006 I was talking just in general.. I mean, this game doesn't discount htis whole year. And I think Chara should be in the norris running instead of Zubov.
jad1 Posted May 6, 2006 Report Posted May 6, 2006 the beauty of dora the explorer... Lindy and scott arniel will have saturday, sunday and monday morning to make adjustments. You have to like the way the schedule is setting up for the Sabres, with the game 1 win and back-to-back games in Buffalo. The Senators are going to have to face a hostile crown two nights in a row with no chance to catch their breath. They really need to get their heads screwed on right Monday night, because they might not get the chance to in Buffalo. Game 2 is bigger than huge for them.
gregkash Posted May 6, 2006 Author Report Posted May 6, 2006 Game 3 is the most important to me.. whoever wins game 3 has momentum for game 4 since there's no time to forget it happened.
Kristian Posted May 6, 2006 Report Posted May 6, 2006 I'm hoping the two games in Buffalo will force The Sens to play their fourth line a little more. Unlike The Sabres, who roll four lines, The Sens really only play with three lines. That might cost them with 3 games in 4 nights.

Wasn't it Redden who cross checked Gasutad right in the chops? <_< Gaustad is lucky that his jaw is not wired this morning.
