  1. 1. Playoff contention - What position(s) should KA upgrade without hurting the team long-term

    • Goaltender - We need another goalie, I'm not comfortable with UPL, Comrie and Andy for the playoffs
      17
    • 2nd pair Defense - Jokiharju needs to be upgraded
      23
    • 3rd pair Defense - Bryson needs to be upgraded
      43
    • Defense depth - I want someone better than Clague in the 7th D slot
      13
    • Forward depth - We need a better 13th forward than Vinnie or Asplund
      8
    • Scoring Depth - Upgrade one of Mitts or VO now. Don't wait until the off-season
      9
    • 4th line - As much as I like KO and Z, we need more grit and more production from the 4th line
      8
  2. 2. How many deals will KA complete by the trade deadline

    • 0 - KA won't spend any assets to help this team
      11
    • 1 or 2 - KA will utilize our cap space to help other deals get done, but won't acquire any help at the deadline
      15
    • 1 or 2 - KA will acquire some D help at the deadline.
      12
    • 3 or 4 - KA will acquire D help and will also pick up assets using our cap space to help others get deals done
      3
    • 5 or more - KA is going to bolster the Sabres and the Amerks.

I'd be surprised if it is not Vinny Hinny back to the NHL.  Granato really believes in the guy

Wouldn't be surprised to see him dress ahead of Asplund either.

Ryan Reynolds Wtf GIF

I want to keep Östlund. He's like Krebs, feisty.

Playmaker first as well which wouldn’t be misplaced in our system/team

 UPL in February

 .856 SV    5.35 GA

  ACK !

Keep eyes open this next week. He needs Rochester.

Is it really that bad? I saw his numbers being skewed to .910 + recently can’t remember the chosen time frame for that though

Could have had a winger for 2nd round pick. Would have helped us for sure.

Jensen has a similar rate of production, as a d-man, he’d be a good start

When you play 4 games and allow 7 goals in 1 game and 4 goals before getting pulled in one period in another, your save % and GAA tends to skew badly.

His other 2 games were a 5-1 loss to to the Canes and a 4-2 win over the Sharks.

The .910 was from mid-December on.

What’s it at now from mid December on?

Chychrun would be a great pick up. Talented Defenseman with size. Which is needed. And still has a year left under his deal.

Wonder what AZ are asking? If not asking a first then I'd be interested. Maybe we could send them Bryson and a 3rd? 😉

I'm sure they are asking for a first plus a high end prospect and player who can play now.

Trade a 2nd for Jordan Greenway. That actually helps the now and the future.  He’ll add a physical presence and is young enough to be here for a while.  DG does his magic and we get something good for nothing.

Also go get Schenn already.  Now needed more than ever.

They wont Adams doesn’t seem like a gm that will panic

You don't have to panic, but if Dahlin is out for awhile, or another injury on D happens then what?

I beginning to think he is afraid to pull the trigger.

Tuch being out has been know for about 40 hours right now.  Dahlin, 2?  Maybe 4?

How does that translate into being afraid to make a move?

He's placed values on what might be available and has stuck to those values.

To be fair, Adams has known for months his defense core isn't good enough.

Well written article from Matt Fairburn.  He outlines 5 thoughts about the trade deadline.

No. 1. is good business.  It will enhance excitement for the fans now and next year. This leads to playoff revenue this season and more seasons ticket sales next year.
