dudacek Posted January 17, 2023 Report Posted January 17, 2023 The worst thing about this game was that Florida continues to have no respect for us whatsoever and we gave them no reason to change. 3 Quote

That dude (one of the Stahli?) skating from Blasdell to pester UPL after the whistle said it all. Absolute fearlnessness and impunity. I am def. not one of the knuckledraggerz, but deep down I fear the Sabres will go nowhere until they instill at least a little fear. Dahlin? Whatever. 1 Quote

NAF Posted January 17, 2023 Report Posted January 17, 2023 Obviously it sucks that they lost, but I think the bigger issue is how they lost. The type of game that Florida played yesterday was playoff like. Hard checking, fast, crashing the net, etc.. My larger fear is that Granato's system doesn't work against that style of hockey. I wouldn't be surprised if down the line Granato is the kind of coach that can get this team to the playoffs, but won't be able to get them past the first or second round. I also worry that players like Tage will become ineffective in the playoffs due to the Granato-inspired type of game they play. 1 Quote

He was trying to toe drag around everyone. He has two speedy wingers that he needs to utilize more. It seems like teams know he will try the toe drag all the time. Quote

The fact that you bring this up means you are at least a closet knuckledragger, admit it. Stahl’s frantic rush to invade UPLs crease would have attracted a lot of attention if that was Ullmark on the Bruins. Not that he did anything, he just sent a message that he had no fear.
