Batavia is a poor mans harness racing track surrounded by about 1 mile of below average household income community and a 20 mile ring of farms.  Unless they are playing for the Batavia Muckdogs, athletes are avoiding Batavia.

It's a little better than that. Some decent restaurants downtown. But yes, no young athlete is going to live there. Besides, considering weather, you need to be close to whatever rink you are skating in.

But Krebs isn't in Rochester.

Details, details.  Never seen so much concern over 3 goalies and rotation of rookie players onto a paper farm.

Quinn and Peterka played lights out after sitting out two.  The correct response from them to a good move by DG.

We lost those games and looked awful in the process.  This ain’t a development league

If you're not developing your nhl players you're the Sabres from 2013 to 2019

The Sabres didn't look awful in the Seattle and Winnipeg games. Although they lost those games, the outcome could have easily gone the other way in each game.

It certainly is for a number of our youngsters who are too good for the AHL and getting better in the NHL. These players not only are where they should but also are contributing to the team's success.

Awful?    No one played Seattle better than Buffalo did on their recent 7 game road trip sweep.   Everyone else got stomped, even Boston got shut out at home.

Winnipeg and Buffalo were tied in the 3rd and they needed a breakaway goal and their Star goalie to stand on head to beat us.

Expectations are skewed.  Cozens, Krebs, Quinn and Peterka are all 21.  Power is 20.  Samuelsson is 22.  UPL is 23.   We are playing 7 kids.   That is over 1/3 of the dressed players.  Development should happen all the time, in practice, in games, in every league.  Development happens in the NHL.

DG probably sticks to this winning lineup for the next game. If Girgs is good then Vinnie or Asplund sit. Those two haven’t made a difference.

UPL is in the driver’s seat, he stumbles but they are winning with him in the net.

Agree.  If Girgs is feeling better then bring him back, and bring Krebs back too.

For one game while 6K is on the paper train to Rochester? Otherwise you have to sit Quinn or Paterka.

I mean if vendors think that me being in Rochester means I can just drive into NYC for a meeting is good then clearly the move to Rochester from Buffalo is a snap. 🙂
