UPL recalled, Quinn Loaned to Rochester

We are seeing the beginning of the Quinn, Peterka, UPL Roster Shuffle, with none of them actually leaving Buffalo

This one seems like a paper transaction for Quinn.  The Sabres will have to send someone officially to Rochester soon, unless Anderson goes to IR.  The league may call BS on that one.

Why?  Players get sent down and don’t dress all the time.  Uncle Lou would be very proud of this obvious, but probably legal roster manipualtion.

I doubt it. Maybe the NHLPA would try to put that in the CBA next time around, but that only really affects players on entry-level stuff so I'm not sure it'd be a priority.

Nope.

And these 3 are young enough w / little enough service accrued that they won't reach a point where they need to go through waivers to be sent down.

No and after the Trade Deadline on March 3rd there is no roster size limit so they won’t have to play roster gymnastics anymore and all three can stay on the roster, but they are only allowed 4 recalls

And with the moves not affecting whether the Sabres fall below the cap floor nor exceed the cap ceiling, can't see the league caring.

He's 20 years old and had an incredible 3 week flash of what he'll eventually be able to do.

Just needs to add man strength to his game.

Quinn is kind of physical, I don't knock he for that at all

Technically Neither did Quinn, it’s a paper transaction to allow all three goalies to stay on the roster. Both will be sitting in the press box tonight eating popcorn and Granato anticipates that both will play against Nashville
