Brawndo Posted January 12, 2023 Report Posted January 12, 2023 We are seeing the beginning of the Quinn, Peterka, UPL Roster Shuffle, with none of them actually leaving Buffalo 2 2 Quote
Sabres Fan in NS Posted January 12, 2023 Report Posted January 12, 2023 This one seems like a paper transaction for Quinn. The Sabres will have to send someone officially to Rochester soon, unless Anderson goes to IR. The league may call BS on that one. Quote

Uncle Lou would be very proud of this obvious, but probably legal roster manipualtion. Quote
Mustache of God Posted January 12, 2023 Report Posted January 12, 2023 Is there a limit to the amount of times you can loan a player to the minors? 1 Quote

Maybe the NHLPA would try to put that in the CBA next time around, but that only really affects players on entry-level stuff so I'm not sure it'd be a priority. Quote

And these 3 are young enough w / little enough service accrued that they won't reach a point where they need to go through waivers to be sent down. Quote

No and after the Trade Deadline on March 3rd there is no roster size limit so they won’t have to play roster gymnastics anymore and all three can stay on the roster, but they are only allowed 4 recalls 1 1 Quote
Taro T Posted January 12, 2023 Report Posted January 12, 2023 And with the moves not affecting whether the Sabres fall below the cap floor nor exceed the cap ceiling, can't see the league caring. Quote

Taro T Posted January 12, 2023 Report Posted January 12, 2023 This rotation thing works for the next 1-1/2 weeks. But wonder what the plan is for the 4 game Midwestern road trip starting on the 23rd? Are they still going to be doing paper transactions, & if not, who goes down? Quote

Brawndo Posted January 12, 2023 Author Report Posted January 12, 2023 Quinn has taken time to adjust to every new level He has played at OHL, AHL and now the NHL. He has the second best defensive metrics amongst forwards in Evolving Hockey’s Model 1 Quote

Both will be sitting in the press box tonight eating popcorn and Granato anticipates that both will play against Nashville Quote
