Put TT with Cozens and Quinn. Tuch with Jost and Peterka. Keep the fourth line. Play only those nine forwards. Edited January 2, 2023 by SABRES 0311 1 Quote
Pimlach Posted January 2, 2023 Report Posted January 2, 2023 Ottawa still sending 2 deep on the forecheck, even with a 1 goal lead. Showing balls. Intheir defensive zone the are having no trouble with us. Easy breakouts, we are not putting pressure on the puck. Someone on the Sabres has to make a play. Quote
Believer Posted January 2, 2023 Report Posted January 2, 2023 Ottawa is meeting the Sabres at the neutral zone… No transition… Shoot it in and go get it… Forecheck… Work the boards… Feed the slot and Shoot it… 1 Quote
Mango Posted January 2, 2023 Report Posted January 2, 2023 Have the Sabres tried skating? Disappointing period so far. Quote
JoeSchmoe Posted January 2, 2023 Report Posted January 2, 2023 I haven't been following the thread, but has anyone else noticed Power not skating? Quote
FanaticSense06 Posted January 2, 2023 Report Posted January 2, 2023 Sabres playing tired lazy hockey, I know you love your first line Granato but sometimes they are just too tired to be playing the most TOI on the team 2 nights in a row... they are all a -1 and the only minus players on the team, play your other players bro... Dreams Burn Down Posted January 2, 2023 Report Posted January 2, 2023 There was a little first line magic. We need more of it. Quote
Believer Posted January 2, 2023 Report Posted January 2, 2023 Need some veteran leadership… Skinner, Tuck, Okposo, Girgensons… Quote
HumanSlinky39 Posted January 2, 2023 Report Posted January 2, 2023 This looks like a team playing its third game in four days. 1 Quote
JohninMinn. Posted January 2, 2023 Report Posted January 2, 2023 This game will go to overtime. Quote

SABRES 0311 Posted January 2, 2023 Report Posted January 2, 2023 The decision making is hurting them more than physical tiredness IMO. Probably related though. 1 minute ago, Pimlach said: Bench Skinner ??? Rotate him in. I guess when I pull the thread on my own thought I’m saying remove Mitts and Olof. Quote
Dreams Burn Down Posted January 2, 2023 Report Posted January 2, 2023 Cozens was looking for the ghost of Rick Martin on that drop pass. Quote
HumanSlinky39 Posted January 2, 2023 Report Posted January 2, 2023 Tired legs + playing tight checking team = not much offense. First line was buzzing a bit last shift, though. Quote
FanaticSense06 Posted January 2, 2023 Report Posted January 2, 2023 I feel like Thompson - Tuch - Skinner and Dahlin have been on the ice the entire third period... Quote

I like how Ottawa's going about their business with the lead. The Sabres are going to have to earn the tying goal tonight. 1 Quote

Buffalonill Posted January 2, 2023 Report Posted January 2, 2023 You have to win games like these I don't care about that streak you have to beat bad teams . Ugh Quote
FanaticSense06 Posted January 2, 2023 Report Posted January 2, 2023 I feel like this a problem, especially on back to back nights... entire first line with over 17 minutes of toi, next highest is cozens at 14... Quinn has 11 minutes of toi as the lowest. When did we become a 1st line only team exactly? Quote
