Going to need the players that only played around 13 minutes last night like Quinn, JJ, Mittelstadt and Olofsson to do something this game because Tage Thompson, Tuch, and Skinner all had close to or more then 20 minutes of TOI last night, Tage had over 22 minutes.

On back to back nights this is when you need your depth to step up and win us a game versus a not so great team.

What’s up with Thompson?  There is patience, and there is holding the puck too long with indecision.  He’s been plagued with this for a few periods now.

Ya definitely a new bad habit of his, just stops with the puck in the offensive zone and just stands there hoping something opens up, he needs to keep his feet moving and MAKE something open up with movement.

Given the circumstances, 1-0 is fine.

After their loss yesterday, Ah'Twah came out charged up and scored early. The Sabres came out a little flat after their big win yesterday and held them off, for the most part.

Let's see who these teams are in the second.

Reminds me of Mr. Glass himself, Jack Eichel. He would sit on the half wall until someone just took it away. Two differences are I think TT will correct this and TT doesn’t crank his neck looking at the rafters.

Strategy for the second period: get the puck to Dahlin. Wash, rinse, repeat.

The league has the book on Tage, even though only a few teams have the tenacity, defensive centers, and wherewithal to make it happen. Pressure him everywhere as soon as he has the puck. His reach is a great weapon, but it's also a stickhandling liability. If you take away all the space you can force the turnover. Tuch and Skinner need to help carry the puck and keep their spacing so he has room and a bit more time. (And TNT himself needs to skate and move the puck quicker.) He has to adjust to the League's adjustments.

This seems like one of those games where scoring is going to seem impossible.

Spoke too soon.
