Think of this as any job or general group of people. Once people know you, then you can have the leeway to be a jerk at times. My apologies for contributing to the derailment.  Sometimes ...

With UPL playing the last few we may see Anderson tonight, but there has been considerable rest.

If I am DG I play UPL tonight to try to take advantage of the last change to try to get the most favourable matchup against Crosby and go with the more seasoned veteran on the road.
