Thorner Posted December 7, 2022 Report Posted December 7, 2022 Not worried about Matt Savoie in the least. He’s going to be good and we are loaded at C - he’ll definitely carve out a useful NHL role for us + upside. 2 Quote

We are co-hosting with Moncton, New Brunswick. We have hosted in the past and I was a lot younger than and it was a lot of fun. Now, at the approach of 60, my ideas of a fun night have changed a lot. So, no I don't plan to attend any games, but I would love too. Maybe something will happen with a client or something. Many have seasons tickets to the Mooseheads. Not sure if that has any benefit with the WJC. 1 Quote

French Collection Posted December 13, 2022 Report Posted December 13, 2022 One of Kulich’s teammates on the Czech team is G Tomas Suchanek, who was at one or two of the Sabres camps this summer. His numbers in the WHL this year are similar to last season’s but he is getting more wins. I’m going to keep an eye on him. Obviously a project, the Sabres lack G prospects, especially if Portillo goes to UFA. 1 Quote
Eleven Posted December 17, 2022 Report Posted December 17, 2022 ...when the other thread is unlocked, perhaps we can merge. Anyway: 2 Quote
Digger Posted December 17, 2022 Report Posted December 17, 2022 (edited) I forgot that Casey's brother Luke was drafted draft eligible. Some familiar names from the draft. I'm looking forward to the WJC. Edited December 17, 2022 by Digger Quote
DarthEbriate Posted December 19, 2022 Report Posted December 19, 2022 Hopefully, Leinonen starts putting it together this season and next in the Liiga and gets onto Finland's 2024 squad. But it isn't promising since Finland's presumable starter Kokko is also only 18 years old. Quote
PerreaultForever Posted December 23, 2022 Report Posted December 23, 2022 Sweden didn't look very good in their warm up game with the U.S. Doesn't count though of course so maybe they didn't really try. Quote

Thorner Posted December 23, 2022 Report Posted December 23, 2022 No Sabres on Canada, right? Unless I missed one? I feel like we’ve been spoiled by a stream of Sabres on that team recently Quote

French Collection Posted December 23, 2022 Report Posted December 23, 2022 Sweden with no names on sweaters. For those with TSN access, Rosen is 19 while Östlund is 12. Quote
