Thorner Posted November 29, 2022 Report Posted November 29, 2022 Seriously asking: Has anyone noticed that his helmet is always slightly tilted to the side? 3 1 Quote
Thorner Posted November 29, 2022 Report Posted November 29, 2022 (edited) Always shadows directly over top of his right eyebrow whereas on his left side you can see it sits noticeably higher. This doesn’t mean anything I just notice a lot of dumb pointless stuff. File this under Reinhart adjusting his helmet an abnormal amount Edited November 29, 2022 by Thorny 1 Quote

That’s because he keeps his lucky underwear on the left side of his head. He has mentioned it in various interviews. 8 Quote

Stoner Posted November 29, 2022 Report Posted November 29, 2022 I always think of the killdeer when I see KO skate. His one shoulder is usually cocked a little as if he is feigning an injured wing to draw predators away from his nest of precious eggs. I can't be the only one. Also I love that even LGR is like, "Dude..." Quote

Curt Posted November 29, 2022 Report Posted November 29, 2022 Why don’t the xGF numbers on the graph match the xGF numbers on the numerical list? It looks like about 10 on the graph, but 3.85 on the list? What’s up with that? Quote

EV means even strength and xGF is expected goals for. So they are looking at his xGF% (so xGF and xGA divided) which helps us understand what happens when Owen Power is on the ice. The short version is that in all the years they have data that attempts to count up expected goals, Owen Power last night finished with the highest xGF% divded by TOI (60min) of any player going back to 2007. "We were referencing his on-ice xGF (total xG of unblocked shots taken for Buffalo while Power was on the ice)." While Owen Power is on the ice his team generates significantly more offense than they give up. xGA/xGF per 60 minutes of TOI. 14 minutes ago, Curt said: Why don’t the xGF numbers on the graph match the xGF numbers on the numerical list? Curt Posted November 29, 2022 Report Posted November 29, 2022 2 minutes ago, LGR4GM said: you have to divide. xGA/xGF Oh, no, it’s just because the graph is per 60 (~10), while the list is just straight xGF (3.83). Which makes sense, with 22:23 of ES ice time it calculates out to 10.3 xGF/60. 1 Quote
