I do believe we are slowly seeing a changing of the guard in the Eastern Conference. Soon, TBL, WSH, PIT and BOS will be relegated to mediocre. BUF, NYR, FLA, TOR and eventually OTT will be the perennial playoff teams.

TB's next move is to try to out-physical the Sabres and throw some checks. It should be easy because they never have the puck. However, they also have to catch the Sabres to hit them. And it means exposing themselves  to counters. Elliott is going to get shelled.

The story on Quinn is that at every level he moves up it takes him a while to acclimate and then he excels. Just hope that continues.

Normally don't stop in during the game... but damn the hands by Thompson and the speed from the Cozens-Peterka-Quinn line..  love to see it.

That Thompson goal is 1 of the best goals I've seen in awhile. It's almost like he knows he's bigger than everyone else and there is nothing they can do about it. I was very concerned when the Sabres extended him with only 1 year of experience but if he keeps this up then that contract is going to be an absolute bargain. I'm so glad I was wrong about him!

Best part of that Quinn goal might have actually been the pass he makes to JJ before JJ is even looking. It was like a QB that throws before the receiver has even exited out of their break. It got JJ the puck in space with speed and Quinn was easily able to get open after that
