Berg Posted November 20, 2022 Report Posted November 20, 2022 Constant pruning in defense and one-on-one exits with goalkeepers, to be honest, pretty tired. We miss and lose due to constant errors and sleepy defense. Why do other teams cope with this, and we constantly let the opponent play as he wants ... Maybe we should take everyone to church? Quote

Scottysabres Posted November 20, 2022 Report Posted November 20, 2022 What's the record stand at now? And I say ya, sure, why not, this roster can break that record. Quote
Believer Posted November 20, 2022 Report Posted November 20, 2022 Voted No… but extremely tough schedule this week Quote
Thorner Posted November 20, 2022 Report Posted November 20, 2022 Aren't you asking two separate questions, framed as one? The record isn't 10, is it? Quote

I think the official NHL records don’t consider OT losses as true losses, because why would they do anything that makes sense? So, 10 might be the record for consecutive losses in regulation. 1 Quote
Refuting Posted November 20, 2022 Report Posted November 20, 2022 I mean they theoretically could lose every remaining game left. I just hope they're not worse than last year. That would add even more disappointment Quote
PerreaultForever Posted November 20, 2022 Report Posted November 20, 2022 Sabres already hold the record (tied with Penguins) @ 18 games. If there's an NHL loser record for any category, we probably have it. Quote
Berg Posted November 21, 2022 Author Report Posted November 21, 2022 (edited) According to https://www.google.com/amp/s/theathletic.com/3914218/2022/11/20/sabres-losing-streak-offseason-choices/%3famp=1 "History isn’t kind to teams who go this long without a point. Since 2000, 26 teams have had a streak of at least eight consecutive regulation losses. Of those, 17 finished the season last or second to last in the NHL standings. Of those 26 teams, zero made the playoffs, and the 2018-19 Blackhawks had the best finish at 18th in the NHL." Edited November 21, 2022 by Berg 1 Quote
Gatorman0519 Posted November 21, 2022 Report Posted November 21, 2022 (edited) It’s a mute point. This season, as far as playoffs, is over. You only hope there can be found progress. But even that is looking like a unlikelihood. The management decisions in the off-season were ultra conservative and baffling. I think he was really sold on Granato supposed development skills and his positivity. That too is looking erroneous as Granato looks lost at this point just like RK.
