LGR4GM Posted October 28, 2022 Report Posted October 28, 2022 That was it? Kinda disappointed in Adams I guess if that other piece is major than it is not as bad so we shall wait and see. 1 Quote

Weave Posted October 28, 2022 Report Posted October 28, 2022 Given how far below expectations Vancouver has performed so far, this should have been the expected destination. Quote
LGR4GM Posted October 28, 2022 Report Posted October 28, 2022 idk how we couldnt beat or tie a 5th rounder so a little disappointed. I wonder why Bear has been traded twice in just a a couple of years though. Quote
GASabresIUFAN Posted October 28, 2022 Report Posted October 28, 2022 Lousy return for Carolina and I'm sorry, but a failure on KA's part. 1 1 Quote
GASabresIUFAN Posted October 28, 2022 Report Posted October 28, 2022 Just now, LGR4GM said: idk how we couldnt beat or tie a 5th rounder so a little disappointed. He had a "good season" which lead to a decent contract and he ended up getting passed by other guys in the organization. I think he is a better player then Hagg, but right now even Hagg would be an upgrade over what Pilut and Fitz are giving us. Like I said, KA should have made this deal assuming Car would have moved him in the conference. Maybe this deal by Van, opens the door for them to move on from Schenn? He'd work here also. Quote
Buffalonill Posted October 28, 2022 Report Posted October 28, 2022 Bear sucks good we didn't get him 2 4 1 Quote

Who knows. If they were, might simply be afraid of having the karmic juju of '06 stomping on their head this year if they were to give a depth D-man to Buffalo. Quote
Brawndo Posted October 28, 2022 Author Report Posted October 28, 2022 With Tom Dundon in charge of that team and How He responded to the Aho Offer Sheet, anything is possible when it comes to pettiness Quote
Contempt Posted October 28, 2022 Report Posted October 28, 2022 Well, I got the Vancouver part right. Quote
Porous Five Hole Posted October 28, 2022 Report Posted October 28, 2022 Bear couldn’t stick with the Oilers paired with Nurse (and fell down the lineup), and couldn’t stick with the Canes while paired with Slavin (and fell down the lineup). My opinion is he’s a bottom pair defenseman and we already have that. He’s a warm body and not an upgrade. 3 Quote
Sabres Fan in NS Posted October 28, 2022 Report Posted October 28, 2022 Has anyone confirmed that KA talked to the Canes about making a deal? Knowing KA, it seems just as likely that he did not even inquire. Quote

I think they worry about basically giving away someone that could improve any team in their conference, yes. Absolutely yes. Now, a hockey trade where both teams get something for now? No, they don’t worry about Buffalo. 35 minutes ago, Getpucksdeep said: Poor man's Bryson. At that salary? Better said that Bryson is a poor man’s Bear. Quote
