Also he was eligible to be sent down without clearing waivers.

Which, in the end, was THE reason he was sent down.  The 2nd reason IMHO was because the team was about to go on a long road trip with only 12 fully healthy forwards had Bjork gone down on day 1.

Still am interested to see who goes down, Pilut, Sheahan, or rookie F, should they be fully healthy at some point.

Feeling it today...

Or perhaps the updated version they play on MSG

Or maybe the old school Belgian guitar group, the Jokers:

Or maybe even a bad ass piano version by Liberace:

Or maybe even some Perrault highlights set to Sabre Dance??

I suspect the proper lens for the next few weeks will be how they survive without Mule and Jokiharju.

There’s going to be a heavy load on the shoulders of Bryson and Power.

Not sure whether it's mentioned upthread: The Sabres are currently at the top of the league in overall shooting % (15.1%) and 3rd in 5v5 shooting % (10.6%).

Last season, the Blues led the league in overall S% at 12.4% and 5v5 S% at 9.6%.

So, while I presume that the Sabres' numbers will regress a bit, it's not inevitable that they'll fall off a lot.

Keep going, boys!

A major difference between the 10 game winning streak year and this one is also the combination of how we’ve won and against who.

Our lone loss thus far was the President’s Trophy winner and we played with them most of the night.

Another difference is the lack over arching success from a singular line pushing us over the line game to game.

Skinner and Eichel were on fire with Pominville and Reinhart chipping in.

This start has been a combination of Dahlin’s streak and overall play, Tuch reactivating the top line and Cozens + Peterka and Hino forming an effective 2nd line. While the goals are somewhat top heavy the assists are very spread out among almost the entire roster.

Lastly our defense and goaltending have been worlds better so far. Dahlin is not only playing great offense but his defensive play has improved greatly since last year. Plus Muel and Bush-Bear give us legit Defensive minded Dmen who also understand how to destroy players on the boards.
