Stoner Posted May 4, 2006 Report Posted May 4, 2006 May 4, 1993 For the fourth time in six playoff games, the Sabres go to overtime. But after three OT wins over Boston in the opening round, the Sabres' luck runs out in a 4-3 loss at Montreal that puts them in a two games to none hole in the Adams Division final. Montreal winger Ed Ronan outraces the Sabres' defense to nullify an icing call, and his quick pass to the front of the net lands on center Guy Carbonneau's stick only three minutes into the extra session for the game-winning goal. As a Sabre a few years down the road, Ronan himself would be the overtime hero.
