SwampD Posted October 8, 2022 Report Posted October 8, 2022 As if there wasn't enough hockey to watch, ESPN+ is showing what appears to be a lot more college hockey this year. Watching Devon Levi right now. Pretty cool. 2 2 Quote

Watching Devon Levi right now. Pretty cool. ESPN+ is the greatest value. For around $5/mo (in a bundle with Hulu and Disney) I get almost every Sabres game, the Bandits, and every UB sporting event. I'm sure it will be $50/mo in no time but I'm enjoying the deal now 2 Quote

If they raised it to that much, would, say, 90% of subscribers dump them? They may be getting such a broad base that they can easily live on $5/month from a huge number of people. Quote

Missing Big 10, but otherwise always something interesting on including NHL out of market. 1 Quote

As mentioned in another thread, the ECAC teams are all riding under the Ivy League TV banner, so Clarkson & the other non-Ivy ECAC teams won't have to be playing any Ivy team to get their game on ESPN Plus. Everybody's home games will be there. (Not positive RPI is included as they were the 1 school that voted against it. Will know soon enough.) Will be nice to be able to catch them against Union, SLU, & the rest. Nothing against seeing them play Cornell, Colgate, Harvard, etc. But getting other games is cool too. Believe it also will apply to the women's team too. Maybe they can get title #4. 1 Quote
Taro T Posted October 9, 2022 Report Posted October 9, 2022 Between Sabres, Amerks, Clarkson, & Minnesota & Northeastern and the occasional Michigan game, will be watching more TV hockey this year than in a VERY long time. Quote

Meant expect that the rest of the non-Ivy ECAC women's teams will have their home games shown on Ivy League TV (which has a contract to be shown on ESPN+) just like the men's hockey programs will be shown. Watched many women's games last year on ESPN+ as the Alma mater is a true powerhouse program and coached one of the star players of one of the Ivys in youth hockey many moons ago. 2 Quote
