Wild Jay Posted May 4, 2006 Report Posted May 4, 2006 Does this mean no more MSG coverage? Or will it be the same set up as in the 1st round? I seem to remember reading that MSG didn't get the same rights to air games this round like they did in the 1st round, but I could be wrong. I also see as of now that no games will be on NBC, and honestly I think that's a plus. The NBC coverage has been sub par (not that OLN has been any better). The shift tracker is a real reach, not on the level of the glowing puck or scoring robots, but still just a tad bit unneeded.
envirojeff Posted May 4, 2006 Report Posted May 4, 2006 Notice the two day break in Ottawa for the first two games and Buffalo's two games are back to back??? Jeff
Eleven Posted May 4, 2006 Author Report Posted May 4, 2006 Notice the two day break in Ottawa for the first two games and Buffalo's two games are back to back??? Jeff Ottawa's arena is committed to a show on Saturday and Sunday nights. HSBC Arena is committed to a show on Friday night and a lacrosse game on Saturday.
haseoke Posted May 4, 2006 Report Posted May 4, 2006 but i would rather believe its a mass conspiracy to doom buffalo. its a cold war out! if we make the conference finals, everybody have a bomb shelter to run to, if gary bettman should decide to bomb the city!! j
Spandrel Posted May 4, 2006 Report Posted May 4, 2006 It does kind of suck that there are no games on this weekend (hence no NBC games, I guess).
Taro T Posted May 4, 2006 Report Posted May 4, 2006 It does kind of suck that there are no games on this weekend (hence no NBC games, I guess). Give that man a cigar. The only weekend game is a Saturday night game which is HNIC's baby, thus no NBC games.
topshelfcookies Posted May 5, 2006 Report Posted May 5, 2006 What really blows is that there is no HNIC game the first weekend of Round 2. The only game scheduled for Saturday May 6 is a 2pm NBC game between Jersey and Carolina. This really blows that none of us will be able to watch Saturday night hockey the first weekend of the playoffs.
