bottlecap Posted May 3, 2006 Report Posted May 3, 2006 To put Norwood on the scoreboard and call Buffalo a bunch of chokers, well isn't that the pot calling the kettle black? What a bunch of poor sports! I was so satisfied with last night's sound thrashing. There were several guys on the Flyers that I was especially happy to see squirm: Clarke-- Mr. Big Budget GM is in reality totally incompetent. Take that for '74-75. Maybe Snider will kick him out of the big bed. Hitchcock--Nothing personal but Dallas beat us by cheating. Hitch's facial expression in the post-game interviews were priceless! Hatcher -- I'm totally glad this is the most embarassing part of your career plus I hope you stew over it all summer, you former Dallas Cheating Star. Forsberg -- You may be getting the big bucks but you sit out half the year and you picked a team that is more vanity project than team. Good for you! Person who handles the Flyers' scoreboard: Eat your heart out, loser!
Tony P Posted May 3, 2006 Report Posted May 3, 2006 Norwood on the scoreboard... Did I miss something? Can someone fill-in the blank for me?
topshelfcookies Posted May 3, 2006 Report Posted May 3, 2006 It was reported in various places that before Game 4, the Flyers ran a video segment of Norwood missing Wide Right, then flashed to a cartoon of Buffalo fans with Chockers emblazened either on the guys shirt or on the screen.
elcrusho Posted May 3, 2006 Report Posted May 3, 2006 Wow that was 15 years ago... but the phillysucks site says it all They can't come up with anything better?? Why didn't they show the Eagles getting to 3 straight Championship Games and LOOSING all 3 times... Heh! at least we went to to Straight Super Bowls
Larry Playfair Posted May 3, 2006 Report Posted May 3, 2006 "I know that was probably the single most embarrassing moment in my career," Flyers defenseman Derian Hatcher said. "Everybody feels brutal right now, getting killed at home, losing," Flyers center Peter Forsberg said. "It was over so quick. It was just bang, bang, bang. . . . Everyone was in shock. . . . I've never been through anything like this." That was how losing coach Ken Hitchcock described the shock as the Buffalo Sabres routed the Flyers, 7-1, in Philadelphia to win their first-round Stanley Cup playoff series, four games to two.

Wow, that $ucks. Instant karma got 'em though.
apuszczalowski Posted May 3, 2006 Report Posted May 3, 2006 I stil can't figure out why they would go with Norwood missing a kick from around 15 years ago when most recently their campbell soup poster boy ruined their chances by wheezing away with less then 2 minutes left in the big game?
