Excellent.  So if he’s eligible for the AHL now and had a very good year last year in the WHL, it seems likely that both the Sabres and he would prefer the AHL this coming season, innit?

The rumors of a bare cupboard in Rochester seem pretty exaggerated at this point.

I think he’ll be like Kulich: whether he’s in Rochester or not depends on his camp. He can still go back to juniors.

Rousek, Cedarqvist, Kisakov and Rosen are the ones ones already there and worth watching.

Yep.  The doomsayers were overdooming it.

They're light on the veteran presence (out are R2 and Jankowski) and perhaps also on proven scorers (Quinn/Peterka), but they're not light on potential with this influx of youngsters.

From a prospect standpoint, Rochester is thin on defense.  Outside of Laaksonen, there won’t be any Sabres draftees on the blueline for the Amerks next season.   One caveat is the possibility that Fitz gets sent down.

As of right now there could be 8 or more Sabres drafted forwards playing for the Amerks next season including Rousek, Malone, Murray, Pekar, Weissbach, Cedarqvist, Kisakov, and Rosen, with Kozak, Kulich and even possibly JJP or Quinn joining the squad.

Nah.  That's the REALLY tall bald guy.  The one that worked with the short old lady that smoked too much.

Didn’t he work for that guy who used to scam Cheers all the time?

That's the one. Harry the Hat made so much money off of Major Derlin (who told the princess that the shield doors must be closed) that he was able to buy his way into a NYC judge position.

Don’t forget the giant Finn between da pipes!

Also I think it’s pretty likely Kulich is there — so that’s at least 5 good forward prospects, a couple of whom are explosive scorers, plus maybe Kojak, plus a legit goalie prospect.

That’s an interesting AHL situation IMHO.
