What is the deal with Ottawa

Discussed on WGR today, they made mention that ottawa has events going on both saturday and sunday, meaning they can't host a playoff game this weekend.... since they have home ice, this could be a problem. What is the NHL's contingency plan... anyone know anything more of this?

Their game 1 will likely be Friday, with game 2 on Monday. Unfortunately this means that whoever plays Ottawa next round (Buffalo, Philly or Montreal) will have to play two nights in a row (including travel to Ottawa) if their series goes 7 games.

They can't play in ottawa Saturday and Sunday cause the arena will be used for Dora the Explorer this weekend

Did anyone else notice that this COULD be interpreted as a sign that the people running the rink assumed another monumental Ottawa 1st round collapse. "Hey, we scheduled it for the 2nd round. The rink was available to the Otters when they needed it."

WTF is Dora the Explorer and why does she take precedence over hockey in Ottawa? Which last time I checked is in Canada. It's not like the Sabres have to go and play the Coyotes or something.

This is perfect. Ottawa can be entertained by Boots the Monkey, then come to Buffalo merely to get the boot into the offseason.
