mrjsbu96 Posted May 1, 2006 Report Posted May 1, 2006 i'm no doctor and won't pretend to think i understand how serious the affliction is, but i can't say enough for this guy. whether he made a difference or not, to come back and play after something that involved your heartbeat takes a lot pucks. once again, i think this organization has proven they had a plan when they made their offseason signings. it was as much about ability and even more about character and heart and that is how a smaller-market organization will succed as opposed to 'big-name' FA signings....
Stoner Posted May 1, 2006 Report Posted May 1, 2006 Of course, big name free agents can have heart and character too, right? Number 21 of Philadelphia would pretty good in a Sabre sweater.
BuffalOhio Posted May 1, 2006 Report Posted May 1, 2006 Of course, big name free agents can have heart and character too, right? Number 21 of Philadelphia would pretty good in a Sabre sweater. But not in the Sabres' budget.

The same one that has done nothing in 3 of 5 games so far this series and/or has gotten frustrated and starting throwing some cheap shots? Sure, there are some big name FA's out there that do have heart, but chances are they are not going to fit our budget.
