Probably not, but he’s not terribly far off. Bedrard this year has had an NHLe of 57 points in the WHL, McDavid had an NHLe of 68 points in his draft year. I believe Bedrard is having a better WJCs than McDavid, so a lot remains to be seen.

Bedard is leading the WJ scoring race by 10 points after 4 games. This is his draft year, he turns 18 in July. Some guys he is competing against are turning 20 soon.

My comparable for him is he plays like Point but shoots like Matthews.

Their brains are similar. Biggest difference is Bedard can’t skate like McDavid (no one can) and McDavid can’t shoot like Bedard.  Stylistically they are different but Bedard has a chance to impact the game in a similar manner.
