That comparable makes zero sense to me they're nothing alike

It is a little strange but I suspect it is his size

Tall, lanky right handed goal scorers from UConn is what he was probably going for

I don’t see a role for him on the Sabres.  Not going to play on the PP, not a guy you pair with Power

Talent is talent. How do you know he is not going to play on the PP? Sabres could easily go to a two dmen PP setup.

You can easily pair him with Dahlin or Power.

Kid has some Makar like skating traits. I think they could find a place for him.

Is it life or death that the Sabres draft him, no, but if he is available and they think he is BPA then I would be happy with the pick.

I’d be more than happy with Sandin Pellikka.

We need a bit more two way.  I agree with Crusader on Timashev and Willander.

I’ve thought about this one a lot. I don’t really see a need for his skillset but if he is the best player on their board they have to take him.

Perhaps his offensive game ends up better than Power’s. Maybe his defensive game becomes good and the kid turns into Ryan Ellis. He could end up a slightly better Joki.

Those are all positive outcomes and if he isn’t a fit then he can be moved later for something that is.

I'm pretty sure the best players available at 13 will be forwards.

If that's the case, take one.

There will be better prospects than Sandin-Pelikka available

NHL draft lottery is on tonight at 8:00 PM.

Sabres have no chance at Connor Bedard. I view that as a step in the right direction.

I’m just hoping Bedard is out west

Makar is quite the comparable. Where did you see this comparison?

No one compared him to Makar. I said he has some Makar like skating traits. His skating is elite.  A lot of comparisons have been made to Barrie. At the under 18s Button compared him to Karlsson in play style.

I’m not pounding the table for him I just think if they end up taking him I’d be happy with the pick but there are going to be about a half dozen guys at 13 I’d be happy with.

But LA wouldn’t. I think they see Clarke as a replacement for Doughty. I’m not as high on Clarke as some either. His skill is tremendous but his brain worries me.

You're most likely right But I would like Buffalo to trade it for a ransom And make a Stanley cup move.

That's only if they get 3rd

if they feel he is their pick at 13, I too will be happy with him.

It would put a high end (maybe even elite) offensive dman on each pairing. Actually, Im talking myself into the pick the more I think about it.
