Savoie - All-around skill

Östlund - High-end playmaking

Kulich - 200-foot game

Neuchev - Goal-scorer

...commendable skill-set balance

That’s a smooth auto correct for Östlund, @SDS

Thanks for noticing!

I like how they found space to wedge the ping pong table into the weight room/boiler room

The picture was attached to his application for Jersey Shore.

Interesting. I wonder who their top 2 russians were... obviously Yurov.

Neuchev was a guy barely on my radar but he's fun to watch.

My guess was Yurov, Miroshenko, Neuchev.

This guy seems really fun.  I hope he can come over and be fun in the CHL next season.

He scored 40 goals and 67 pts in the MHL, and no one else on his team scored more than 16 goals or  40 points.  Very impressive.

The picture of him in the gym does not look like a 165 lb kid.

If he is 6’2” and looks like that, I would guess that he has put on muscle since that 165 was recorded.

Did any team draft him in the CHL import draft and is he even allowed to come over and play?

I do not think so and his Elite Prospects page doesn’t show him being drafted in the CHL.

The tweet from the MHL indicates that he’s playing there next year. It says “Victor Neuchev is maintaining his shape in full order. How many points will this machine score in the new season?”

I think he may play in all three leagues next year. He has probably grown out of the MHL and should get games in the VHL with the occasional bench warming call up to the KHL.

Holy hell was this kid productive.

His P/G is comparable to the highly-touted Trikozov, and to Kisakov, who is a full year older. He was one goal off of leading the entire league in goal scoring with 40 in 61 games.

And he did it by himself.

He had 40 goals and 67 points. Next highest guys on his team had 16 goals and 40 points respectively.

Now you know why most of the rankings gave him a solid 2nd rd grade and the Sabres, who apparently have very good Russian scouting, had him in the 1st rd.  I'm sure they were shocked when he fell into the 3rd round.

According to Fortin Datsyuk will be the new player development coach with his Russian team next year. So that suggests he's going back.

That is impressive, surround him with some talented playmakers (Krebs, Östlund) and watch out.

If he can be mentored by Datsyuk he can’t help but improve.

I’m betting he can do a few pull ups.
