Seems to be even more of a Comrie can be a starter reach than Comrie was though. When Brossoit returns they'll have 2 Comrie lottery tickets to find a starter. Quote
Eleven Posted August 30, 2022 Report Posted August 30, 2022 This isn't the NHL, but it isn't worthy of its own thread, either: 2 1 1 Quote

Playing around Sid and Geno probably helps. I wouldn’t want him back in Buffalo, I like Hinestroza more. 2 1 Quote

DarthEbriate Posted September 1, 2022 Report Posted September 1, 2022 Dallas signs RFA Oettinger to a 3x$4M (and RFA status) contract. That, paired with the Sabres taking Bishop's contract, will give them $6M in cap for Robertson, so a bridge deal is in order. 1 Quote
sweetlou Posted September 1, 2022 Report Posted September 1, 2022 Good signing by Dallas. Make the young goalie play consistent over his first 4-5 years before throwing big money at him. I bet Philly is glad they only gave Hart a bridge deal after he had two good years. Goalies are weird and should be consistent over 4-5 years before getting any term contract or big money. 1 Quote

Was just below average for 2 years with 2 poor playoffs, and then this regular season Husso outplayed him all year until the playoffs... and Cup-level Binnington reappeared. He was even fantastic against Colorado until he got Kadri'ed. 1 Quote
Porous Five Hole Posted September 1, 2022 Report Posted September 1, 2022 Anybody want a young RD with no path toward playing time with the NYR? Quote

Zamboni Posted September 1, 2022 Report Posted September 1, 2022 Surprised they want to cut ties so soon. He’s only 22. Unless there’s a personality issue going on. 1 Quote
Porous Five Hole Posted September 1, 2022 Report Posted September 1, 2022 I think there’s a logjam on the right side for the NYR. Fox & Trouba are blockers. And Lundkvist knows he isn’t going to get PP time over either of those two. Quote
steveoath Posted September 1, 2022 Report Posted September 1, 2022 Wait.... wasn't he untouchable? 1 Quote

The Rangers are probably looking for an NHL player on an ELC in return. So that would be one of Mule, Power, Krebs, Cozens, Quinn, or Peterka. I can’t imagine the Sabres are dealing one of those guys for him. Quote

Weave Posted September 2, 2022 Report Posted September 2, 2022 If his complaint is blocking for powerplay time he sure won’t like Buffalo. Dahlin and probably Power are gonna monopolize the PP. 1 Quote

Sabres don’t need to spend assets for an offense first defenseman. Its not a good fit. I’d say Mittelstadt is more valuable to the Sabres. 4 2 Quote

I'd say that's fair, but what if you could get him for picks or prospects? If you could do that, he would make us a better team than we are. I'd certainly pick up the phone and ask the price. 1 Quote
