If they had, let’s say Craig Anderson going into the playoffs … they would have been eliminated in the 1st round. Their goaltending duo, although not top notch, is a nice solid duo. Enough to get the job done obviously. 1 Quote
Wyldnwoody44 Posted June 19, 2022 Report Posted June 19, 2022 Their offensive creativity is out of this world. Tampa could simply not keep up or dissect what they were doing. McDonugah (sp) took that stupid pentaly and it was game from there. I wish we had a McKinnon Nicheiskin (sp) has really transformed from when he was a whipping boy in Dallas, I don't remember exactly but wasn't he pegged as lazy and a flight risk to the KHL? Tampa may win 1 of these next 2 games, but they're not gonna 3peat; its finally the Avs year! Quote

Broken Ankles Posted June 19, 2022 Report Posted June 19, 2022 (edited) Largest shutout victory in a Stanley cup Final game in the history of the sport. A sweep would be appropriate as Colorado has be the class of the west all year. Tampa is outmatched, and has to be exhausted after so many playoff games the last three years. matter2003 Posted June 19, 2022 Report Posted June 19, 2022 Tampa Bay looked like they were skating in quicksand yesterday... They better figure out a way to slow down the Avs or they are in danger of getting swept. Avs are much better than I gave them credit for and don't seem phased by the moment. Quote

It will still be 3 in a row though if Tampa loses. 3 cup final losses in a row for Corey Perry. 😉 Quote

After that St. Louis win he was basically just signed as cheap muscle and he gets two more cups out of it. Talk about right place right time. Not to discount his role, but guys like him are kind of interchangeable. Bogo was probably the luckiest though. Bottom to top in a hurry. Tampa's won enough. I hope it's the Avs who prevail. 1 Quote
