  • Brawndo changed the title to Sabres Sign Isak Rosen to His ELC

I guess KA is working hard to try to make up for not signing any of the college kids but Power.  😁

What is his contract status in Sweden? Can he play in Rochester next year.

Glad he signed, But I must confess …. He has a very punchable face 😂

Yeah, there's a smugness there.  He is a 7.5 on the Smolinski scale.

Amerks bound? Can’t remember if he still has a SHL contract to honor.

Don't think that matters much if he goes to the AHL.

Time to hit the gym kid 😛

I take this to be at least part of what Karmanos may have been talking about when he referred to “ongoing talks” last week in reference to backfilling the Amerks.

Now, this isn’t confirmation that he will be an Amerk - he’s clearly struggled against men - but I’d rather have him in the hands of Appert than whoever is coaching Leksands.

From Lance Lysowskis article:

“The AHL will be a significant adjustment for Rosen. In addition to the smaller ice surface, he will need to learn how to create offense in a more physical, chaotic game. There will be opportunity to learn and develop, especially if Quinn and Peterka make the Sabres’ roster out of training camp. Rosen can play top-six minutes and special teams.
If both join the Sabres, Appert will still have prospects to coach, including Rosen, Kisakov, Lukas Rousek, Linus Weissbach and Brandon Biro. But if Peterka or Quinn are back in Rochester to start the season, the Sabres have a way to ensure Rosen can still develop and receive the necessary playing time.
A source told The News that Rosen has a clause in his contract that allows him to be loaned back to a team in Sweden before December if he's not playing enough. The move can be made if Rosen needs a top-six opportunity.”

Seems like they are bringing him over to develop.

Did any of them shoot right? 😈

Kukkonen did. But you have to remember that you can only have 50 contracts so you don’t want to waste one on a player that you don’t see any future in.

Outside of his inflated draft position, he's done absolutely nothing to deserve this.

Do you feel the same way about Kisakov, Bloom and Nadeau?

Rosen has achieved as much against his peers as any of them.

Rosen has blazing speed and a sniper’s shot. Needs to put on weight and strength.

Based on the tiny weenie posters claiming how much of a waif this kid is, I was expecting DJ Qualls.  He’s a normal sized person.  My lord.

Are you like a parody account?  Has there ever been a first round pick that hasn’t signed?

Did they put a dietary clause in that deal? Clearly he’s not going to make it unless he pounds 10,000 calorie shakes every 2 hours.
