New-to-me Buffalo reporter Rachel Hopmayer says the following players interviewed with the Sabres:

Mintyukov, Nazar, Mesar, Gauthier, Devine

She says Denton Mateychuk did not.

Frank Nazar was 5'10" 180lbs

Cutter Gauthier was 6'2.5" 200lbs

Marco Kasper was 6'0.75" 187lbs

Ryan Chelsey was 6'0.5" 201lbs

Liam Ohgren was 6'0.75" 201lbs

I’ve been noting it down each time it’s reported that the Sabres did or did not interview a particular player at the draft combine.  I’m assuming that anyone who they chose not to interview, they are not interested in drafting, although I do understand that may not be 100% correct.

Anyway, here is what I have seen reported.

Pavel Mintyukov  
Cutter Gauthier

Apparently only time available.

And no reason they can’t interview someone outside the combine setting.

Could be wrong, but I believe Jiriceck and Geekie were not there.

Nemec was there, Jiricek was not.  No idea if Sabres interviewed any of those guys.  Nemec and almost definitely Jiricek will be gone before #9 anyway.

After listening to the Expected Buffalo podcast, it seems that Marco Kasper, Lian Bichsel, and Noah Warren also interview with the Sabres.

Given the past two years with no combine, I imagine the Sabres Staff is very comfortable with Zoom Meetings with Prospects

Regarding interviews, keep in mind they might not have interviewed guys they have already made their mind up on or have spoken to in a different setting already. The guys they interviewed here MIGHT be guys they are interested in, but might also be guys they aren't quite sure about and they want to add a little more info on. In other words, I wouldn't read anything into it.
