GrimFandango Posted April 26, 2006 Report Posted April 26, 2006 End of 1, it was dead silent when kotalik scored... There isn't even 50 sabres fans here. Dave and I have only seen about 10 so far huddled around the sabres bench during warm ups... Cryers fans have been shouting how they hate the new nhl and they don't seem to admit when there is a good call... We are smack in the middle of a section, surrounded on all sides by flyers fans... Hasn't had any incidents outside of profanity... If the game keeps going this way, the sabres will pull it off... The rooks seem nervous but the end of the period showed their legs a bit... 40 mins to go... 'Brian
blugold43 Posted April 26, 2006 Report Posted April 26, 2006 dude..AWESOME! verrrrrry cool of you to report from the scene. i dunno....i think we just took the flyers best punch. one cheapy on esche and it'll be "katie bar the door!" seriously, i think we wear them out and win by 4-2
Stoner Posted April 26, 2006 Report Posted April 26, 2006 I feel like Walter Cronkite when Apollo 13 went around the dark side of the moon. Godspeed and safe return to earth, Brian.
GrimFandango Posted April 27, 2006 Author Report Posted April 27, 2006 Almost forgot, they did show the campbell hit during the pregame promo... It was to emphasize his toughness.... Campbell also has been getting booed whenever he is on the ice... The showed the hit on vanek as well... Unfortunately the cryers came out to hurricane 2000.. at least it got me pumped up
blugold43 Posted April 27, 2006 Report Posted April 27, 2006 i can hear the boos on tv every time campbell touches the puck....like he is some kind of assassin or something...i bet he's laughing his ass off between shifts wondering how the hell he ever mattered enough to get booed like that!
GrimFandango Posted April 27, 2006 Author Report Posted April 27, 2006 Dumont is down and he is being booed as he leaves the ice now.... Heard some, not all, of the arena chanting "show the replay!"... Flyers are getting bounces... Need to turn it around quick...
jayg Posted April 27, 2006 Report Posted April 27, 2006 How did the people of Philadelphia become so classless. I've never heard a good word about them.
ATL61 Posted April 27, 2006 Report Posted April 27, 2006 Remember when they threw batteries at Santa Clause????
sabregoats Posted April 27, 2006 Report Posted April 27, 2006 i dont understand how the cess pool that is philidelphia bred an entire fu*king ciy of degenrates. I have never witnessed a stadium boo an injured player untill tonight. I am thouroughly embarrassed for their entire city. There reaction to Dumont's injury is a thousand fold more embarassing than the 8-2 score of monday's game. I will now quote the correct quote from anchor man: Fu*k you Philidalphia
jayg Posted April 27, 2006 Report Posted April 27, 2006 Oh, and did anyone here the P.A. announcer say something like to remember to applaude for a hurt player when they get up. They know that their own fans are classless.
sabregoats Posted April 27, 2006 Report Posted April 27, 2006 does anyone know if people from phili actually shower on a regular basis? Because they are a dirty looking bunck of fans
blugold43 Posted April 27, 2006 Report Posted April 27, 2006 game 5 chant: F*CK YOU PHILLY (CLAP-CLAP CLAP-CLAP-CLAP)... F*CK YOU PHILLY (CLAP-CLAP CLAP-CLAP-CLAP)... maybe it could catch on?
Corp000085 Posted April 27, 2006 Report Posted April 27, 2006 this thread begs the question: what kind of phone do you have?
envirojeff Posted April 27, 2006 Report Posted April 27, 2006 Remember when they threw batteries at Santa Clause???? Remember when they booed McNabb when he was drafted a few years ago??? Also I always liked Forestburg (sp?) but WOW what an *sshole! Jeff
GrimFandango Posted April 27, 2006 Author Report Posted April 27, 2006 this thread begs the question: what kind of phone do you have? Got a sidekick corp.... Now I get to sit in traffic while these uckers honk there horn like they won the series... When I get back to dc I will write more and post some pics from warmups... I hate this city
DWarner Posted April 27, 2006 Report Posted April 27, 2006 Oh, and did anyone here the P.A. announcer say something like to remember to applaude for a hurt player when they get up. They know that their own fans are classless. I didn't hear anything like that. God, traffic sucked getting out. Phillies game ended about 15 minutes after Flyers.
topshelfcookies Posted April 27, 2006 Report Posted April 27, 2006 JayG- I'm glad you heard that too... I thought I did, but was almost too astonished to believe it. I think the PA announcer said "Fans, there is an injured player down on the ice, please be curteous and applaud when he leaves" or something to that effect. It was right before Jeanarette and Lorentz commented that the only way Philly fans would salute an injured opponent would be if they carted him off in a herse.
DWarner Posted April 27, 2006 Report Posted April 27, 2006 http://www.rushmessageboard.com/forums/cp/...-1146110709.jpg If that works... I think Grim has some more he'll post when he get's a chance.
GrimFandango Posted April 27, 2006 Author Report Posted April 27, 2006 Got back a bit ago... am headed to bed after a frustrating night... however i don't feel badly about our chances friday night... for those interested in some of the photos, take a look at http://photos.yahoo.com/bsmpp22 enjoy!
ThePolishSabre Posted April 27, 2006 Report Posted April 27, 2006 GrimFandango, how did you not get shot???
GrimFandango Posted April 27, 2006 Author Report Posted April 27, 2006 To be honest, dave was the one with enough guts to rock his jersey... had the Sabres been up all game, i would expect to be missing a limb or two ---- and it would have been worth it
LabattBlue Posted April 27, 2006 Report Posted April 27, 2006 I feel like Walter Cronkite when Apollo 13 went around the dark side of the moon. Godspeed and safe return to earth, Brian.
