steveoath Posted May 22, 2022 Report Posted May 22, 2022 (edited) Lol, ref just scored for Norway. You can't do that. No goal. Edited May 22, 2022 by steveoath Quote
steveoath Posted May 22, 2022 Report Posted May 22, 2022 Yay, Asplund with another. The easiest he will ever score! He's having a good tournament. 2 Quote

Norcal Posted May 22, 2022 Report Posted May 22, 2022 Two Bruins goalies in net at The World Championships. You love to hear it. 3 Quote
steveoath Posted May 23, 2022 Report Posted May 23, 2022 (edited) Canada 2-1 down in the 2nd. Eek. Comtois with a match penalty. Could be seeing more of Cozens in the game. Edit: and Canada kill the 5 min pen. Edited May 23, 2022 by steveoath 1 Quote
steveoath Posted May 23, 2022 Report Posted May 23, 2022 (edited) Nooooooooo GB give up a 2 goal lead. Tied at 3-3. If this stays we get demoted to 1A. Also Canada concede on PP. 3-1 Denmark. Edit: Graves pulls one back for Canada. This'll be a good finish. Edited May 23, 2022 by steveoath Quote
PerreaultForever Posted May 24, 2022 Report Posted May 24, 2022 Canada was so bad against Denmark. Barzal was playing lazy don't care hockey. Not many players looked very good at all. Maybe there was a good party the night before or something but effort like that won't get them far. Cozens included. Quote

They also seemed very ill disciplined. Too many stupid penalties. Quote
PerreaultForever Posted May 24, 2022 Report Posted May 24, 2022 Cozens playing well today, but it's France so maybe doesn't mean much. Likely playing Sweden in the quarters, that'll be tough. Quote
GASabresIUFAN Posted May 25, 2022 Report Posted May 25, 2022 Is this Asplund's coming out party. Will he be able to carry over the scoring to next season? Quote
Kristian Posted May 26, 2022 Report Posted May 26, 2022 Canada beats Sweden 4-3 in OT, after being down 0-3. Dahlin with his best Brian Campbell impression, taking a delay of game penalty late, with Canada trailing 1-3. Nylander in the box in OT. Game over. 1 Quote
Flashsabre Posted May 26, 2022 Report Posted May 26, 2022 Canada with the massive comeback to stun the Swedes. Down 3-0 in the 3rd, wins it in OT. Cozens was very good but needs to work on that shot to snipe more. Asplund and Dahlin were named players of the tournament for Sweden. 3 Quote
bunomatic Posted May 27, 2022 Report Posted May 27, 2022 That was an epic comeback. Barzel with the seeing eye pass to set up the winning goal in o.t. Quote

True. had a golden opportunity to win it before the OT and just shot it into the goalie. Makes me think (optimistically) of Tage a year ago. Just a confidence level. Afraid to miss the net so he shoots towards the middle too much rather than sniping for the corners. He is playing well though on the top line so I think it will come. Thought Asplund was very good. Ullmark being Ullmark. Brilliant in the second period, just meh in the third. Loss not his fault, but he didn't win it for them either. Dumb lazy or sloppy penalties by Dahlin and Nylander at the end sealed their fate. They were both good for Sweden as a whole, but not when it really counted. Quote

I don't really see Delay of Game penalties over the glass as dumb, lazy or sloppy to be honest. 9/10 times it was merely a good play off the boards that hit the stick wrong and flew over its intended target. 1 Quote

Dahlin wasn’t under pressure though, and had options to either curl back, og or just chip it out. It was a brainfart, simple as that. It happens, but it can’t happen. Quote

Alright, didn't get to see the 3rd/OT so I was unsure as to what happened in regards to the penalty more than the "puck over glass" part Quote

In most cases I think they are rushed, not thought about or sometimes a little lazy. In this case he wasn't pressured and had time he could have and should have taken. But we can agree to disagree. Not worth arguing about. Quote
