steveoath Posted May 14, 2022 Report Posted May 14, 2022 Wow. We (GB) got destroyed today. There's a reason we haven't been in the top tier. Quote

Bergeron gave his teammates a special hug yesterday and there are some who say he may retire. That could put a playoff spot in the East in play for next year. 3 Quote

GASabresIUFAN Posted May 16, 2022 Report Posted May 16, 2022 Anyone know if TNT declined to play for team USA? Quote

Well he said he hadn’t made up his mind, but he’s not there, so I guess he said no. Pregnant wife may have played a role? Meanwhile, Aspy scored twice and was player of the game for Sweden today as they beat the Czechs 5-3. Quote
French Collection Posted May 16, 2022 Report Posted May 16, 2022 Cozens with 2 assists so far vs Slovakia. He is playing well on a line with PL Dubois and Nick Roy. Nemec playing on the PP for Slovakia, he’s got some confidence for a young Dman. Slafkovsky has not looked like he did at the Olympics, better lineups at this Tournament. Quote

Nemec looks very good. Cozens is playing very well but as he did in Buffalo he just lacks finish. If he learns to get those shots on goal past the goalie he will be phenomenal, if he doesn't, he'll become a tenacious checking forward. It's kind of like he could be a ROR or a Trochek type or even a Staal but could also end up a Lazar. He needs that last leap forward like we saw Thompson take. I think it'll happen, just a question of when. 1 Quote

I continue to stand by my “less douchey Ryan Kesler” prediction. 1 Quote

Kesler's another possible I agree. Mike Richards (before his drug problems) is another guy I think of. We're thinking along the same lines. Quote

French Collection Posted May 16, 2022 Report Posted May 16, 2022 I haven’t watched Sweden play yet, is Asplund playing wing or centre? Quote

Now there's a name I'd kind of forgotten. I think his work ethic will keep him off the floor, just not sure how long it will take as I mentioned. 1 Quote
PromoTheRobot Posted May 18, 2022 Report Posted May 18, 2022 So where are the games being shown? NHL Network? That's not on YouTube TV. Is it online too? Quote
DarthEbriate Posted May 19, 2022 Report Posted May 19, 2022 Looks like Cozens finished off the hat trick with less than a minute to spare against Kazakhstan. 2 Quote

Nice to see him score. This will help his confidence. Not that Kazakhstan is Russia, but he got half of Canada’s goals. 1 Quote

steveoath Posted May 22, 2022 Report Posted May 22, 2022 Asplund gets a scrappy goal to become the tournaments top scorer so far. Way to go. Tre Kronor looking good. 3 Quote
