Most people will probably just use their phone network and those cell towers are going to be overloaded and nothing will work. The real trick is to bring in one of those old school hand radios and just blast it for your section

I have a 6 year old in one of my classes who is obsessed with radios at the moment.  It's amazing how many small children have no idea what one is.
