Jävə Keith Posted April 7, 2022 Report Posted April 7, 2022 Love Portillo's vocal leadership - skating over to the bench during break to speak directly to the team, inspiring & giving strategic insight. 1 Quote
freester Posted April 7, 2022 Report Posted April 7, 2022 Portillo keeps giving up juicy rebounds. Power needs to hit someone. Quote

WildCard Posted April 7, 2022 Report Posted April 7, 2022 (edited) Power reminds me a lot of early Dahlin. The offense is there, the defense is just a lot of reaching with the stock and sun-par board play. Nice to have Dahlin show him how to improve on that. Edited April 7, 2022 by WildCard 3 1 Quote
K-9 Posted April 7, 2022 Report Posted April 7, 2022 Power may not be very physical at this stage, but he’s consistent in making the smart play with the puck. Plays with a ton of poise. 1 Quote
nfreeman Posted April 7, 2022 Author Report Posted April 7, 2022 Portillo mis-played the puck behind the net on the goal against in the 1st, and gave up too many rebounds in the 1st, but played pretty well in the 2nd. 1 Quote
Norcal Posted April 7, 2022 Report Posted April 7, 2022 Granddaughter finally asleep. Watching third on mute. Go Blue! Quote

Carmel Corn Posted April 7, 2022 Report Posted April 7, 2022 Gotta admit, Denver plays a great team system... really minimizing Michigan's quality opportunities. Michigan may have more raw talent, but Denver is really fast and disciplined. TIE GAME 1 Quote
GASabresIUFAN Posted April 7, 2022 Report Posted April 7, 2022 Huge goal. Really good game so far. 1 Quote

One thing I liked is how easy his tall frame got down on a knee to block a pass and right back up. Not always easy for tall guys to get down and get leg flat on ice like that. Quote
Carmel Corn Posted April 7, 2022 Report Posted April 7, 2022 There's something extra exciting about single-elimination playoff games...love the desperation as there is no tomorrow for one of these teams. Quote
ubkev Posted April 7, 2022 Report Posted April 7, 2022 This 3rd period is fun as hell. And Denver has the best unis in college hockey, right now. Those are great. Quote
GASabresIUFAN Posted April 7, 2022 Report Posted April 7, 2022 Did you notice that Portillo covered the entire bottom of the net when doing the splits 1 Quote
