JohnC Posted March 29, 2022 Report Posted March 29, 2022 The biggest positive takeaway from this game was the play of Olofsson. He seems to have confidence back in his shot. And on top of that he is playing a much more well-rounded game. Getting him back to his sniping play is like adding another good player to the roster. Those who believe he should be dealt are misguided. He adds value to this roster. The general takeaway after watching this game is that this team doesn't quit when it gets behind. In this case although they were significantly behind they just kept at it. This is a mentally strong cast of players. There were a lot of big plays in this game. One of the biggest was a pass from Mitts ??? to Tuch for his tying goal at the end of the game. I believe the Sabres have earned points in six consecutive games. The tide has turned! 1 Quote

Eleven Posted March 29, 2022 Report Posted March 29, 2022 That was so, so nice, watching them fight back and succeed! 1 Quote

woods-racer Posted March 29, 2022 Report Posted March 29, 2022 I feel bad for Butcher. He's been given so many opportunities to shine and elevate his game with the rest of this young team and he's been snake bit. Quote
thewookie1 Posted March 29, 2022 Report Posted March 29, 2022 They are definitely a different team; there's an internal drive to succeed we have rarely seen over the past 10 years. They are embodying Okposo and Tuch's "never say die" attitude. Even when the team seems deflated, they seem far more able to bounce back even within a game. Dahlin's play has been great, truly worthy of a 1st overall 1 Quote
Doohicksie Posted March 29, 2022 Report Posted March 29, 2022 Interesting picks from the Chicago media, in a game where their team scored 5 goals: Quote

GASabresIUFAN Posted March 29, 2022 Report Posted March 29, 2022 (edited) Quote Could this be the game we point to as the game this team actually turned the corner and learned how to win? I asked this after the Las Vegas game. With that game the Sabres are 6-1-2 since March 10. Edited March 29, 2022 by GASabresIUFAN Quote
woods-racer Posted March 29, 2022 Report Posted March 29, 2022 (edited) We just dropped another spot in the draft with a win over Chicago. Anyone care? Feels good, real good. Edited March 29, 2022 by woods-racer 1 1 Quote

sabresouth Posted March 29, 2022 Report Posted March 29, 2022 What a wild game. This is such a confidence booster for this young team. Still wish we had compitent goaltending but the team decided to even overcome that. Quote
