GASabresIUFAN Posted March 29, 2022 Report Posted March 29, 2022 (edited) I guess we can cross Lankanen off our off-season goalie acquisition list. Edited March 29, 2022 by GASabresIUFAN 6 Quote

Randall Flagg Posted March 29, 2022 Report Posted March 29, 2022 I thought the Rangers game showed the vets having a great game, but the kids having a rough go. Tonight, the vets were fine, but the kids were on an absolute tear. Mitts was dangerous, Tage was dangerous, Dahlin was humming, Samuelsson played the 2-on-1 BETTER than you are supposed to - he took away the passing lane, AND blocked the shot! When was the last time you saw that? - Olofsson had maybe the best game of his career, Asplund was causing problems on the forecheck. Cozens probably skated 15 miles with the puck tonight. Skinner could have scored 4 and drew the key penalty, Tuch with the clutch finish, Kyle doing what Kyle does. Eakin made some passes. Hinostroza continued to show that he deserves another contract. Butcher had a rough game, but that's going to happen against an offense like that. Don got them to calm down and figure out the best way to nullify a Chicago transition game that has stymied the Buffalo Sabres for a decade. Very fun, and I'm starting to feel the tide turning. Kevyn, next year, it's on you to make sure a game like that is a 6-2 Sabres win. 3 1 Quote
GASabresIUFAN Posted March 29, 2022 Report Posted March 29, 2022 (edited) VO 3 points. Cozens, Thompson, Tuch, and Dahlin 2 points each. Mitts, who I thought was our best player tonight, with an assist. Nice when your best players are your best players. KO and VO getting closer to 20 goal seasons. woods-racer Posted March 29, 2022 Report Posted March 29, 2022 I don't remember Eakins name being called in the third till the final face off with 10 seconds to play. The Chicago play by play crew was horrible. Quote

woods-racer Posted March 29, 2022 Report Posted March 29, 2022 The Sabres haven't won in Chicago in 12 years(?). Back to back on the road. 3 games 4 nights. Never gave them a chance. I was entertained. 3 1 1 Quote
