LGR4GM Posted March 21, 2022 Report Posted March 21, 2022 This might be fun, imagine where we would be right now if we had even half of these points back. We really didn't know what this team could be until the last month when players got healthy.
Sabres Fan in NS Posted March 21, 2022 Report Posted March 21, 2022 How do they figure this out? Really ????? Is there anything to this??

I would guess they are doing games lost and then multiplying that by individual player WAR or something along those lines. 1

Stoner Posted March 21, 2022 Report Posted March 21, 2022 Definitely not made up. It's actually not good for our society.
LGR4GM Posted March 21, 2022 Author Report Posted March 21, 2022 Sabres are 2nd in man games lost just behind Montreal.
GASabresIUFAN Posted March 21, 2022 Report Posted March 21, 2022 (edited) I assume most of those points belong to Anderson. I wonder what the figure would be if he had the negative affect of having defensively challenged D in the lineup is factored in. Edited March 21, 2022 by GASabresIUFAN 1

For example Montreal has about 100 more games lost than Buffalo but aren't ahead on this list because some of the lost players they have suck. Just something fun to ponder. 1
msw2112 Posted March 21, 2022 Report Posted March 21, 2022 I find it so interesting that the Bills have one of the best track records regarding injuries in the last couple of years, while the Sabres have one of the worst. I just saw an article this morning in which OJ Howard said that one of the reasons why he signed with the Bills was the advanced sports training center and how it might help him stay healthy during the season. With all of the investments the Pegulas made in Harbor Center a few years ago, it's baffling that they can't get the same type of results with the hockey team. With the Sabres on the upswing and the future bright, I hope they can figure this out. 1
Randall Flagg Posted March 21, 2022 Report Posted March 21, 2022 I love that it goes to the tenths place. 1 1

carpandean Posted March 21, 2022 Report Posted March 21, 2022 I'm pretty sure it's based on +/- and faceoffs. 1 2

Doohicksie Posted March 21, 2022 Report Posted March 21, 2022 Depends on the data going into the calcs.
French Collection Posted March 21, 2022 Report Posted March 21, 2022 Health is always a factor. TSN panel said earlier that Calgary has 11 guys that have played all 62 games.
PromoTheRobot Posted March 21, 2022 Report Posted March 21, 2022 Losing 27.8 points means we were a playoff team. I don't see that. I'll give you 8-10 points tops, mostly from missing Anderson. 1

woods-racer Posted March 21, 2022 Report Posted March 21, 2022 If a frog had wings he wouldn't bump his butt on the lilly pads... It's a fun-ish play with math so bottom feeders can feel better.
