Not just that Northeastern had a bad Fenwick, the other teams have gaudy Fenwick scores. They were making other teams look like the tank-for-Eichel 2014-15 Sabres. 1

GASabresIUFAN Posted March 16, 2022 Report Posted March 16, 2022 (edited) Levi is by far the biggest difference maker on any team in the NCAA and it isn’t even close. I also think Portillo is Michigan’s MVP and that is saying something. Their in zone D play isn’t stellar and they are so O minded that he often hung out to dry. He is sort of the college version of Grant Fuhr. Edited March 16, 2022 by GASabresIUFAN 2
Flashsabre Posted March 16, 2022 Report Posted March 16, 2022 Northeastern has some good players: McDonough, Gunnerwulfe Fontaine, Struble, Colangelo, Jack Hughes But they don’t have great depth and don’t play a real defensive system. Levi is full marks for his numbers and his record. He is more valuable to his team then the other two goalies Put Levi on Minnesota St. and he might have a sub 1.00 gaa. It is better for Buffalo that he is developing on a team that gives up more chances. Patrick Roy got shelled every night in juniors and he said it helped him develop quickly. Not saying Levi is getting shelled but he is getting more work then those top team’s goalies.

In his last 6 games he has only given up 7 goals on 243 shots (1.17 gaa with a .971 save % on over 40 shots a game.). Edited March 16, 2022 by GASabresIUFAN 2

I didn’t think it was that bad but the math checks out.😁 I don’t know if he will win the Hobey but he is the most important player to his team regardless. The future is bright in net we just need a bridge until the kids are ready.

GASabresIUFAN Posted March 16, 2022 Report Posted March 16, 2022 (edited) When Miller won the Hobey in 2001 (his Sophomore Year) he played 40 games with a 1.32 .952 with 10 shutouts and a 31-5-4 record Levi has played 30 game with a 1.47 .954 with 10 shutouts and a 21-8-1 record. woods-racer Posted March 16, 2022 Report Posted March 16, 2022 Ryan was also was with Rochester for 3 years before we could consider him a starter. The Sabres have a couple years before Levi will be ready. Miller played 47/60/63 games in 02/03, 03/04, 04/05, respectively for Rochester. Levi needs his time to develop. He looks very promising.

We don't know this. He could make the team (Carey Price) or he could go to Rochester.

Unlike UPL, Miller had a 920 or better save % all 3 full AHL seasons. He probably would have been up a year earlier had it not been for the lockout.
LGR4GM Posted March 16, 2022 Author Report Posted March 16, 2022 Levi is very athletic, the jump in competition will require him to adjust his timing, unsure how long that will take. 1
triumph_communes Posted March 16, 2022 Report Posted March 16, 2022 (edited) He will make the team. Why so many doubters. Y’all are no better than Tim Murray when it comes to deciphering goalie voodoo. Guy makes a bad team look good and he isn’t a 6’4” Swede straddling in position. He’s actually good.
