French Collection Posted March 15, 2022 Report Posted March 15, 2022 Zemgus will be a good addition. Too bad for Jankowski, I still prefer him to Eakin. Sounds like Eakin is good in the room, not many games are won in the room though. 2 Quote
woods-racer Posted March 15, 2022 Report Posted March 15, 2022 Really wanted to see him center the 4th line. He got a nice paycheck to watch hockey for the last couple on months, there are worse gigs. Quote
DarthEbriate Posted March 15, 2022 Report Posted March 15, 2022 I’d prefer it to be Bjork but this had to be done now that healthy forwards are coming back. Just have to hope he passes through waivers so the Amerks get a top-6 player for the stretch. 3 Quote

Have to wonder if his practice face off tutorials are really that impactful? 4 minutes ago, DarthEbriate said: I’d prefer it to be Bjork but this had to be done now that healthy forwards are coming back. For all his issues on the ice he is bringing a lot of important things to the team. I would not be surprised if he is not traded at or near the deadline. There. I said it. I know Inky is slobbering all over him these days. Am I right @inkman ?? 1 Quote

I remember the 1937 Red Wings, won a Stanley Cup because the entire team loved each other so much. Didn't even need to play a game they just loved themselves into Cup winners. Quote

Regardless of whether you or I like the man, his teammates obviously do and there's nothing you can do about it. And....this team isn't competing for the cup this season. Quote

Crusader1969 Posted March 15, 2022 Report Posted March 15, 2022 I know a lot of heat has been thrown towards Eakin BUT I think Bjork was an anchor. Im interested to see Eakin for the remainder of the season with Okposo and Girgs Quote

Im interested to see Eakin for the remainder of the season with Okposo and Girgs This was the opening night line. But all I can think these months later is... don't saddle those two with Eakin, faceoffs or not. Or more appropriately, don't saddle Okposo with those two. (Even though I want Asplund to re-gel with VO and Mitts and become a solid line, I'd rather Okposo get Mitts-VO and have Asplund with limited minutes on a 4th line.) 2 hours ago, Crusader1969 said: Amerks need Jankowsi more than they need Bjork Bjork should be next in line to get waived Agreed wholeheartedly on both points. I can’t possibly imagine the Sabres, who are cultivating a positive vibe culture, would even fathom the idea. Quote

Swap Kyle and Asplund. I know you are thinking of last season with that second line, but Asplund has not earned it, and Kyle is playing good hockey. Quote
