PromoTheRobot Posted February 24, 2022 Report Posted February 24, 2022 (edited) The goings on in Ukraine are horrible and entirely pointless. That said, almost overnight, natural gas production has become a national security issue. I wonder if Terry hung on to any of his oil... err, sorry... gas leases? He does still have NG holdings. 1

LGR4GM Posted February 24, 2022 Report Posted February 24, 2022 This will probably get moved so I started a thread in politics on it. I think you will see fracking increase regardless of environmental risks at this point.

The EU being cut off from Russian gas exports will cause production in the US to ramp up, including fracking, to make up for it. Environmental concerns are out the window. 1

Environmental concerns are out the window. We need an expansion on energy policy. Nuclear, solar, water, wind, natural gas, fracking, the lot. It is not only Europe whom we need to supply. We might need to help out South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, India, and others in southeast Asia. (I deliberately used a phrase which will give those who lived through the Vietnam era some chills.)
ubkev Posted March 3, 2022 Report Posted March 3, 2022 Fracking is currently, ***** dead in the Marcellus Shale. I'd love to see it rejuvenated, specifically because natural gas workers show up to the casino in droves and spend huge money, and that's been missing for about 6 or 7 years, now. Love those guys. They're the best. Hilarious and chill at the same time.
