Mock Draft Season?

Did a mock draft and it had the Sabres drafting 5th. Without trading any of the picks away, this is how the draft went.

I don't think the Sabres will draft Mintyukov and in fact they shouldn't. That's another talented LHD in a room with 5 of them under 23. Also with his consolidated ranking at 19, I don't think he will be available.

Didn’t think so neither but figured he was there when it was my turn again so I snagged as a steal

I'll bite for 3 rounds. Without doing much research:  Slafkovsky seems a bit like Svechnikov - draft him!  We need a RD, ergo Salomonsson.  We need a scoring LW- Ohgren.  Need more centres, always!: Lorenz dominates at the AJHL.  And, finally, we need to always draft at least one goalie: Brennen.   I didn't research the goalies much, but Brennen has a decent GAA in the WHL and has size.

Here you go, was surprised Cooley slid to me but that was fun.

Savoie, Salomonsson, Ohgren, Snuggerud, Kaplan plus giant D Warren at 100.  I also grabbed Havelid (G) at 134. Very solid on the Swedish U20 and U18 national teams, but had a rough go of it at the Hlinka Gretzky.

Actually not my dream but it was nice. FC rankings are bad so hard to mock

Jiricek at 5 was a reach but he may end up better than Nemec.

Isaac Howard at 29, BPA for me.

Filip Bystedt at 30, don’t know much about him. C

Owen Beck at 37. C

Danny Zhilkin at 69. C

I believe in drafting centres and converting them to wingers if necessary.

Why is the Sabres 2nd 1st rounder #29?? Right now Vegas' rank is the #20th and with St.Louis, Minnesota, Colorado and Calgary in front of them, there's no guarantee with the injury bug they're on that it's going to get any better unless they go on a playoff run that's not assured yet either. I know this is a fun mock but just wondering why the site is assuming the best for them.
