French Collection Posted March 21, 2022 Report Posted March 21, 2022 Please weaponize some cap space for an asset. Fleury and Giroux are gone, I thought they would need a 3rd party. Miller and a pick for Klingberg? Convince him that he will mentor Power and sign him for whatever he wants but for 5-6 years. Quote

If he doesn’t sell Hinostroza or Anderson it’s because they were more valuable to the stretch run than the offers were to the rebuild. If he doesn’t sell Miller, it’s an out-and-out failure. We don’t need him, there should be a market, but no one is going to overpay. And no one is going to respect Adams less because he stood firm on a 2nd when no one offered more than a 5th. Colin Miller is not a player you draw a line in the sand on. 2 Quote

If you set a price you can't just suddenly drop it, maybe a little to facilitate a trade but if you say Miller is a 2nd and your best offer is a 5th in 2024... you don't make the deal. 1 Quote

Salary laundering does not seem to be a thing this year. Those are pretty complicated deals to drop last minute, but I guess we will see. 1 Quote
thewookie1 Posted March 21, 2022 Report Posted March 21, 2022 If teams are only offering a 5th for a playoff experienced Dman in Miller than I take my ball and go home. If Adams refuses a 3rd because he wants a 2nd I'll be more in duda's camp 2 Quote

If you valued Miller at a 2nd and the market says he’s worth a 5th, your evaluations suck. The logic has merit with players like Eichel. Miller is a 3rd tier expiring contract. Quote

Based on the absurd prices paid for the most part this deadline on Dmen, I'd say a 2nd is closer to the value than a 5th. 3 Quote
