Heard this argument with Eichel as well. If you set a price you can't just suddenly drop it, maybe a little to facilitate a trade but if you say Miller is a 2nd and your best offer is a 5th in 2024... you don't make the deal.

Salary laundering does not seem to be a thing this year. 

Those are pretty complicated deals to drop last minute, but I guess we will see.

If teams are only offering a 5th for a playoff experienced Dman in Miller than I take my ball and go home. If Adams refuses a 3rd because he wants a 2nd I'll be more in duda's camp

If you valued Miller at a 2nd and the market says he’s worth a 5th, your evaluations suck. The logic has merit with players like Eichel. Miller is a 3rd tier expiring contract.

Based on the absurd prices paid for the most part this deadline on Dmen, I'd say a 2nd is closer to the value than a 5th.
