Hope the haters saw the clip Marty just showed of Dahlin’s passing.

Multiple difficult, smart plays under pressure against the grain to find the open man.

His hands are so good.

He's been much, much better defensively lately.  It's like something clicked.  He's also significantly more physical.

Two ways of looking at this one:

Despite being awful this year, the Habs have played better under St. Louis and will be primed to jump on a Sabres club who might be underestimating them.

The Habs are awful, and a hungry-for-wins Sabres bunch are primed to go for the throat and take advantage.

So far, it’s option 3:

An easily moved object vs a fairly stoppable force

Anyone else think that the jag placeholders are acutely aware they’re jag placeholders and that awareness shows in their play on the ice?

You mean they're consciously trying to earn their next contract?

If you could choose.  Who’s be first to go?

1) Jankowski

2) Hayden

3) Bjork

4) Eakin

5) someone else

I’d say Bjork. - he brings nothing

Jankowski is decent.

Eakin. They can't help but think winning faceoffs matters enough to give this black hole ice time. He needs to go.

No. I mean they know they aren’t very good, they aren’t part of the plan moving forward, and that their play reflects a “what’s the use” kind of acquiescence. I don’t think it’s a conscious thing though.

No, they simply aren't talented enough. The use is they are playing for their nhl careers and they know it

Really?   Think of Philly, Islanders, Bruins and Penguins.   Lots more least favorites.

Plenty to choose from for sure

Eakin Bjork Hayden Jankowski(I'd sign him to be 4C for a year or two, the rest can bugger off today!
