PromoTheRobot Posted February 13, 2022 Report Posted February 13, 2022 Where did Hayden and Jankowski came from? Were they always in our system? Were they free agents? They are sneaky good. Quote

Rochester signed him to an AHL deal and the Sabres signed him once the injuries all hit. Hayden's been a 4W for a bit and has hands of stone (and not really a good fighter, either) but he does battle. Jankowski is showing enough to replace Eakin. Except the faceoffs, of course! Quote
dudacek Posted February 13, 2022 Report Posted February 13, 2022 Our long pass sure is more effective tonight. Montreal. 1 Quote
DarthEbriate Posted February 13, 2022 Report Posted February 13, 2022 Dahlin made 2, maybe 3, tiny little moves/passes on that shift that just casually cleared the zone, negated a breakout to restart a rush... MTL's announcers are impressed. Quote

Janko is a JAG. Four NHL seasons with Calgary (3) and Pittsburgh (1). He was a veteran depth signing for the Amerks but with injuries he made it up to the Sabres. Utility knife forward. Hayden is also a depth signing to provide grit. Four years at Yale and a tweener with parts of four NHL seasons at Chicago (2), NJ (1) and AZ (1). Not known for hands but gives a good effort. They're both just JAG free-agent signings but they're better than JAGs signed by other recent GMs. Quote
DarthEbriate Posted February 13, 2022 Report Posted February 13, 2022 Ha. And then Dahlin takes a sloppy penalty. Quote

I think they should re sign him for next year maybe 2 personally. Hayden was a fa start of year. Healthy scratch earned his spot too over time. Seems to be a split feeling about Hayden around here but he has been mostly ok so far imo  1 Quote
DarthEbriate Posted February 13, 2022 Report Posted February 13, 2022 Bad penalty by Gallagher. Fitz wasn't going to get back across to prevent that entry. Quote
Norcal Posted February 13, 2022 Report Posted February 13, 2022 Gallagher is in my top 3 least favorite players of all time. Quote
DarthEbriate Posted February 13, 2022 Report Posted February 13, 2022 Olofsson's breakaway... still not a lot of power on his shot. Quote

dudacek Posted February 13, 2022 Report Posted February 13, 2022 Hope the haters saw the clip Marty just showed of Dahlin’s passing. Multiple difficult, smart plays under pressure against the grain to find the open man. His hands are so good. 1 1 Quote
