That Aud Smell Posted January 26, 2022 Report Posted January 26, 2022 Why’d the whistle blow? Our announcing team useless for context or an explanation. Quote
Doohicksie Posted January 26, 2022 Author Report Posted January 26, 2022 Mitts is getting up to speed. Shoulda coulda woulda.... almost! Quote
NAF Posted January 26, 2022 Report Posted January 26, 2022 Mittelstadt looking solid. Good controlled zone entry. Quote
That Aud Smell Posted January 26, 2022 Report Posted January 26, 2022 I mean, I know it went because of an injured player. But why then? Quote
Cascade Youth Posted January 26, 2022 Report Posted January 26, 2022 Is Mitts gonna start dominating now? He seems to be on a trajectory. Quote
That Aud Smell Posted January 26, 2022 Report Posted January 26, 2022 Dahlin’s hit made up for the godawful play prior to then. Quote

Gambrell was down and in distress. Once the goalie made the save on the breakaway, the ref blew for the injury. Didn't need to, but they must've thought he was in a serious condition. They gave the breakaway, then treated the save like a hasty OTT possession. Edited January 26, 2022 by DarthEbriate Quote

Nice body check by Dahlin in the defensive zone....completely clean hit. Agreed. The ref has to wait until there isn't a scoring chance. The Otters did not have control of the puck. Quote

Injured Ottawa player. But it usually should have only been blown when Ottawa recovers the puck, which they didn't do before Skinner netted it. Instead, the refs blew the whistle on the initial save. So not a change of possession, but a moment of non-possession. Tough luck for the Sabres. Quote
Crusader1969 Posted January 26, 2022 Report Posted January 26, 2022 Don’t want to see anyone hurt but Dahlin with the crunch. Quote
