Old coach mentality probably means that Levi won't start a game now that they are past the prelims. I wonder if Levi was pulled, does he forfeit eligibility for a medal (in case Canada does well)? Flashsabre Posted February 13, 2022 Report Posted February 13, 2022 Again, I couldn’t hear the whole conversation but Healy and Poulin were talking about who is in charge of the lineup and then I heard Healy say “Don’t do it Buffalo” So I am jumping to conclusions but I think that is what the conversation was. dudacek Posted February 13, 2022 Report Posted February 13, 2022 There is nothing to be gained by pulling Levi except making him and the organization look spoiled. 2 Quote

Buffalo has no say in what Levi does at the Olympics because Levi has no contract with Buffalo. Levi can do whatever the fudge he wants to right now..... I also seriously doubt we would ever do such a thing. Can't think of single reason why we would. He misses a few college games.. not a big deal... 3 Quote

JoeSchmoe Posted February 13, 2022 Report Posted February 13, 2022 They could possibly waive tokarski and put Levi in Buffalo. I'm not going to pretend to know what they would or could do with Dell once Tokarski is in ROC, but I don't think the organization would have much use for him at this point. Quote

The only right the Sabres have when it comes to Levi is the exclusive right to sign him before he’s eligible for free agency if he chooses to go that route after three years of college. 1 Quote
Zamboni Posted February 14, 2022 Report Posted February 14, 2022 (edited) Very good game. women’s USA vs. Finland. USA up 2-0 so far … The teams are well matched. 4-1 final …. Nice! Edited February 14, 2022 by Zamboni 1 Quote
French Collection Posted February 15, 2022 Report Posted February 15, 2022 Julien not playing Levi, taking Power off of PP1. Dinosaur is going to lose with old journeymen while the future is on the bench. Kent Johnson and Mason McTavish not getting as much ice time either. Quote
French Collection Posted February 15, 2022 Report Posted February 15, 2022 2-1 Canada after the first. Not panic mode yet but Julien is getting some second guessing from the millions of armchair coaches in Canada. Quote

Hockey Canada being old and regressive is Fry level of shocking. 20 minutes ago, French Collection said: 2-1 Canada after the first. Would serve them right. 1 Quote

Julien leaning on guys who were in their primes at the same time he was. Quote

French Collection Posted February 15, 2022 Report Posted February 15, 2022 Levi didn’t even dress as a backup. I hope Julien never gets another NHL job. Levi will need to re focus on finishing strong with the Huskies and be in the mix for the Hobey Baker. Quote
Flashsabre Posted February 15, 2022 Report Posted February 15, 2022 I’m not rooting for Canada to lose but their lineup isn’t very strong. Most of the players are vet role players on European teams. The kids (Power, Johnson, McTavish, Levi) are their most talented guys but there are not enough of them or aren’t in the lineup🤪 Quote

Eric Staal as a go to doesn’t give me warm fuzzy feelings. They need to steal a game or two by a goalie standing on his head and I’m not sure these journeymen are up to the task. I’m glad the Sabres didn’t hire Julien because he would play JAGs instead of Cozens, Krebs, Quinn and Peterka. Quote

A lot more than we think have tendencies more in line with Kruger than with DG. 1 Quote
Porous Five Hole Posted February 16, 2022 Report Posted February 16, 2022 I tuned into the U.S. quarterfinal hockey game against Slovakia just now, and the Slovak’s are coached by the Sabres very own Craig Ramsay. I had no idea. Also, Miro is the GM. Quote
GASabresIUFAN Posted February 16, 2022 Report Posted February 16, 2022 (edited) This Slafkovsky is a fantastic player. Only 17 and arguably the best player on the ice in the USA Slovakia game. This guy should be at the top of our draft list if we aren’t drafting in the top 4. We currently have the 7th overall pick. Edited February 16, 2022 by GASabresIUFAN 1 Quote
French Collection Posted February 16, 2022 Report Posted February 16, 2022 USA & Slovakia game now into shootout. Quite the way to decide a single knockout game. Rybar and Mann were both solid in net. Quote
