PerreaultForever Posted January 18, 2022 Report Posted January 18, 2022 In Dahlin's case I would say he doesn't always play small, but he doesn't play big either. He isn't strong around the net and chases the puck more than playing the man, but most of all he is inconsistent. Quote

Game on…… Ottawa has 6 less games due to COVID-19 breakout earlier this year. So….. Of the teams below us, Ottawa seems the most likely candidate to overtake us, and I'm guessing Seattle figures some stuff out and finishes the season with more poitns than us. I expected Arizona to be at the bottom of the standings and it's amazing that MTL has went to cup finals to dead flurping last. I wonder if Price is expected to return at some point, and if that happens can they start putting wins together? If I'm the new GM there I tell Price to take his sweet old time and get a top draft pick. Quote

Ottowa being one of these teams. Expect a real stink-fest tonight. Ottawa isn't that bad. In terms of point percentage, they are just ahead of the Sabres. Since Dec 2 game, they are 7-3-1, including wins vs the Avs, Panthers, and Lightning. They have had a lot of Covid issues like Buffalo (and many other teams) but early in the year a lot of their key players missed games. They are a better team than their record shows, and they have been playing really good as of late. Quote

That's more than half a lineup at 210ish or more. Quietly the Sabres have become kinda big. I don’t think we suffer from small stature. It’s the heart to play hard night after night that is missing. Those Detroit games have me very upset with this team. Quote

I thought they played much better yesterday (and it sure helped to have Krebs and TT back -- it seemed like they had 3 credible forward lines) but fell apart down the stretch. If one were inclined towards pessimism with this franchise, one could say that the stink of losing has set in with the new group and the players now subconsciously expect to lose and thus don't have the mental toughness to close out a win. 2 Quote
