START ACTING LIKE A WINNING, NHL FRANCHISE!!!!!

I've had it.

I realize the Sabres are not a winning franchise and are barely an NHL franchise at this point. I THOUGHT this year was about creating a template for changing all that, which was to begin with adopting at least the posture of a winner.

ACT like a winner. ACT like a team off to a good start, in a heated Presidents' Trophy race, that just got totally jobbed, robbed and disrespected in consecutive games. (In the tradition of Lindy, make a stink and maybe you buy a call somewhere down the line.)

Where are the alternate captains? Where is the coach? Where is the GM? Where is the owner (sorry, the owners)? And please don't tell me they're handling it quietly behind the scenes. The fans need to know there was a response. They need to know there's still a pulse in Sabres hockey.

Nothing changes until this changes.

well said.  I could go for some of Lindy's old time passion today.

These owners became invisible as soon as there was any media criticism. They started out much more visible it seems when fans were excited after purchasing the franchises. They are clueless owners whose only hope is catching lightning in a bottle.

I feel a little Elevenish. Might be the sausage and gravy for breakfast.

Are you declaring that they're handling it behind the scenes, and you endorse this approach?

I agree. It is time this organ-eye-zation started acting like a winning franchise.

Let me see if I can get this right.

To be a winning franchise you must, in no particular order:

Get the penalty calls in a close game.

Attract the big name free agents.

Score the big goal when you need it.

Make the big save when you need it.

Make the trades that help fill the holes in your team on the ice.

Draft and develop your future core without impacting your current team on the ice.

Have stability in upper management and team ownership.

Win more games than you lose.

Have playoff success.

I'm sure I missed some and my list is oversimplified but I do think some of the above are being addressed and the rest will be once the Sabres are a winning franchise again.

Lets GO Buffalo!! Do Better!!

Be a winning franchise again!!

Just to clarify, you want Granato or Okposo to unleash a rant in front of a camera or a microphone about the offside call?

Absotutely.

Also....and lets all admit it...

The beginning of the answer to the franchise's problems is living in Rochester NY.

Yes Mike Peca--the baddest 180LB man in league history. Lets use him .

The man is tougher than Bobby Clarke and a winner.

If I was owner I’d be call8ng a press conference to demand that next time we play Ranger we play the last minute of that game tied. Who cares if it’s not going to happen. I’d demand those morons who screwed up the call be fired and ask, why Sabres players are better being assaulted and the league does nothing. That sadistic animal Goodrow slew footed one of our best players and should be suspended

You want an owner to get in front of a microphone and embarrass themselves? Good plan.

Nice, so you’d get a laugh and maybe the Sabres wouldn’t get shafted next time. Win win

So Terry and Kim Pegula, standing in front of a microphone, saying more colossally stupid things than usual, is going to prevent someone from making the wrong call in the future?
